you will be responsible for producing high-quality precision parts using conventional machines to support our wood processing operations. You will work closely with our maintenance and engineering teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools (lathes, milling machines, saws, grinders, and drills) to manufacture or modify precision components.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and tables to plan machining sequences.
• Verify dimensions using precision instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
• Program and adjust equipment as required for specific production runs.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on shop equipment and adhere to all Marwood safety standards.

• Valid Red Seal Machinist (Journeyperson) certification is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting (sawmill experience is a significant asset).
• Strong proficiency with manual machines; advanced math skills (geometry/algebra) for material fabrication.
• Must have own reliable transportation to Tracyville (not bus accessible) and provide own CSA‑approved safety footwear.
