Job Overview

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 1 is responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance of material handling equipment at the Tracy, CA location.

Shift: Swing shift 2:00pm-10:30pm, Thursday & Fridays off. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

Base pay range: $23.50 to $27.00 per hour at the time of posting.

• Repair and maintain material handling equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and lubrication.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Create and close work orders in the asset management system, recording labor hours, parts used, and maintenance details.
• Troubleshoot basic conveyance problems and use available resources to resolve them.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Respond to basic service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training preferred.
• Demonstrated basic mechanical knowledge in a technical or specialty area.
• Proven experience in the area of responsibility and successful demonstration of key responsibilities as presented above.
• Ability to lift and move material up to 50 pounds, and occasionally push/pull wheeled dollies up to 100 pounds.
• Supported physical dexterity in both hands and wrists; able to climb ladders and gangways safely.
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10–12 hours.
• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
