Forklift Warehouse Operator

Position Description

Join Ryder as a Material Handler in Tracy, California. This hourly position offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

• Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour
• Shift premium may apply for eligible shifts
• Weekly pay
• Schedules available: 5 days per week (Multiple Schedules)
• 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
• 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator’s license
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Must be punctual with a good attendance record
• Performs work with minimal supervision
• Possesses a high degree of initiative
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Must follow health and safety methods
• Available to work a flexible schedule on various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Note:

Some positions require additional screening including employment and education verification, background checks, and vehicle records.

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, staging of products, and loading and unloading of trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours of production
• Perform other duties as assigned
