Bandsaw Operator – 1st ShiftThe Bandsaw Operator is responsible for safely cutting and portioning raw materials using industrial bandsaw equipment within a food manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring product quality, yield accuracy, and production efficiency.
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual with prior bandsaw experience who can work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.
Pay Range: $25.00 – $30.00/hour (DOE)
Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
Schedule: 1st Shift – Hours may vary; overtime and weekends as needed
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
This position is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
- Operate industrial bandsaw equipment to cut and portion product to specifications
- Read and follow production orders, cut sheets, and product specifications
- Ensure accuracy in cuts, portion sizes, and product yield
- Maintain consistent quality while meeting production standards
- Inspect product for quality and report any issues or inconsistencies
- Follow all safety procedures when operating cutting equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with GMP standards
- Properly handle and store tools and equipment
- Support production team as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Prior bandsaw experience required (food production or similar environment preferred)
- Experience in meat processing or food manufacturing is a strong plus
- Woodworking or similar cutting experience is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and precision cutting skills
- Ability to follow instructions and production specifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong safety awareness when working with sharp equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent use of hands and arms for cutting and handling product
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in cold environments (30–50°F)
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including cut-resistant gear
This position operates in a refrigerated food manufacturing facility with exposure to sharp equipment, cold temperatures, and wet conditions. All work must be performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and company policies.
