Hallway Healthcare provides in‑home nursing care to retired nuclear and federal workers, including those who have received benefits through EEOICPA or FECA, as well as federal workers such as U.S. Postal Service employees. Hallway Healthcare typically assigns you to one patient per shift, allowing for more focused, consistent, and meaningful care.
Certified Nursing Assistants are responsible for light cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, and assisting clients with bathing, showering, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks. They may also consult with a client’s family members and nursing staff to address concerns regarding the client’s health, nutrition, and overall well‑being. They are able to take vital signs and report to the supervisor.
Experience:
6 months of experience. Computer literate, with EMR experience.
Location:
Livermore, CA
Available shifts:
Livermore – 4 hours a day, 3 days a week or 7am‑7pm or 7pm‑7am available 7 days a week (new patient with all shifts available). 8‑ and 12‑hour shifts may be available in other areas. Pay: $25/hr for 8‑hour (or less) shifts; $22/hr (overtime provided) for 12‑hour shifts. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive patients to run errands or accompany them to appointments.
Cooking experience required.
- Complete documentation on Alayacare by the end of each shift.
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, cooking, feeding, and light housekeeping.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with patient assessments and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers.
- Transport patients to doctors’ appointments, grocery stores, or pharmacies.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Strong patient care skills and ability to provide compassionate care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.
- Ability to perform patient assessments and recognize changes in condition.
- Experience with home care services is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.

Lift up to 50 pounds; work in a home setting with moderate noise levels and variable environmental conditions. Ability to operate a personal computer and telephone, and to communicate effectively in voice and written formats.
