Registered Nurse PreOp

Job Summary:

Provides high-quality preoperative nursing care within an ambulatory surgery setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort through comprehensive assessments, education, and care coordination. Acts as a key team member in preparing patients for surgical procedures and supports smooth transitions in care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough preoperative assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on the surgical process, postoperative expectations, and recovery procedures.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient care delivery.
• Prepare and monitor patients in compliance with safety standards and clinical protocols.
• Document patient information accurately in Epic electronic health records.
• Ensure adherence to all clinical guidelines, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CA RN License with at least 3 years of nursing experience.
• Demonstrate current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• Have recent ambulatory surgery or Phase II nursing experience within the past 2 years.
• Possess proficiency in Epic electronic health record system.
• Ability to perform detailed assessments and develop effective care plans.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and interdisciplinary collaboration.
