Role Description

The Quality Assurance Specialist is a contract, on-site role based in Tracy, CA. This position is responsible for monitoring product quality throughout the production process, performing inspections, and documenting findings to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. Day-to-day tasks include conducting routine quality checks, reviewing production records, investigating nonconformances, and supporting corrective and preventive actions. The specialist will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality issues, maintain consistent standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role also involves preparing and maintaining quality documentation, assisting with audits, and ensuring that all quality procedures are consistently followed on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Quality Control and Quality Assurance to monitor processes, inspect products, and verify compliance with specifications.
  • Experience with Quality Management practices to support implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality systems.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards to ensure safe, compliant, and consistent production operations.
  • Ability to perform Quality Auditing activities, including internal audits, documentation reviews, and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial environments; plastics or related industries preferred.
  • Proficiency in using basic measurement tools, documenting test results, and working with quality-related software or databases.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a degree in a related field is a plus.
