** General Summary
** This position is responsible for sampling, testing, and inspecting construction materials or elements in a laboratory or field setting to ensure compliance with the supplier and/or owner specifications.
** Essential Job Accountabilities
*** Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products
* Obtain and maintain certifications as required to perform testing.
* Maintain thorough understanding of specifications, testing and reporting requirements.
* Ability to communicate and schedule QC activities with crew and inspection personnel.
* Ability to interpret specifications and discuss/argue with crew and inspection staff.
* Ability to make decisions based on knowledge of specifications and testing requirements.
* Interprets engineering drawings to make sure work is being performed in accordance with plans and specifications.
* Collect material samples, send samples to lab, interpret test results and distribute information to crews and inspection staff.
* Maintain all QC log books and reports in accordance with specifications.
* Follow all OSHA and Company safety policies and procedures, including attendance at safety meetings
* Maintain a safe and clean work environment
** Education
* ** High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience
** Work Experience
*** 4+ years of related experience required

* The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard.
