Rover Security Officer Job Summary
We are seeking a professional, customer-service oriented, and highly alert Corporate Entrance Security Officer to provide access control and maintain a strong security presence at a busy corporate facility. The ideal candidate will monitor employee and visitor access, assist with site operations, enforce company policies, and maintain a visible presence around designated entrances and parking areas.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control access for employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, and delivery personnel
Verify employee s and visitor passes before granting access
Maintain a visible security presence near cafeteria entrance, and visitor parking areas
Monitor visitor parking to ensure authorized use only
Assist visitors with directions and check-in procedures
Report suspicious activity, hazards, alarms, or maintenance concerns immediately
Communicate effectively with Dispatch and site management
Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR) and provide detailed pass-down information
Maintain assigned security equipment including radios, flashlights, site phones, and safety gear
Remain alert and professional while standing post for extended periods
Previous security experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to remain vigilant and attentive throughout the shift
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
Ability to work independently and follow post orders
Basic report writing and smartphone communication skills
Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday. Day Shift.
Patrols & QR Code Scanning
Perform perimeter patrols (fences, gates, docks, shipping/receiving areas, admin buildings, and parking lots).
Scan all designated QR checkpoints for accountability.
Identify and report security breaches, damage, or tampering immediately.
Document patrols in the logbook/DAR and send photos via the approved app.
Check building entrances, exits, and perimeter doors for security.
Ensure employee/visitor access points are secure.
Respond to any alarms or door propping incidents.
Maintain clear emergency exits and access routes.
Patrol employee and visitor parking areas.
Ensure visitor parking spaces are reserved for visitors only.
Report suspicious vehicles, unauthorized parking, or repeated violations.
Monitor lots for loitering, hazards, or blocked fire lanes.
Ensure trucks do not block driveways, traffic flow, or emergency routes.
Confirm that food vendors park in designated areas only.
Report unsafe or unauthorized vendor activity to the supervisor/dispatcher.
Provide timely 10-minute rest breaks and 30-minute lunch breaks for post officers.
Confirm smooth shift turnovers (receive pass-down information, address unresolved issues).
Assist building officers during Taylor Farms employee breaks.
Your safety is the priority. If you observe or suspect any criminal activity (such as theft, vandalism, loitering, or vehicle break-ins) in the parking lot or on your property, do not approach or confront anyone involved until you assess that the situation is safe to approach.
If the situation appears unsafe or potentially dangerous, or if multiple individuals are involved, do not enter the area. Instead, move to a safe location immediately and observe from a distance if possible.
Call 911 right away and inform the dispatcher that a crime is in progress, providing:
The exact location (building number, level, or section of the area).
A description of the individuals involved (gender, clothing, vehicle description, license plate if visible).
The nature of the activity (theft, break-in, fight, etc.).
Once it is safe, notify on-duty Management and Dispatch via Viber or phone and provide the same details for recordkeeping. Do not attempt to detain or pursue anyone under any circumstances, and maintain a professional and calm demeanor at all times.
Document the incident thoroughly in the Incident Report (IR), including the time, location, and all observations.
