Facility Technician

Responsibilities

• Takes charge to keep all supplies stocked and place replenishment orders.
• Assists with large projects.
• Operates Compactor and Bailor for waste management.
• Manages a small team of people.
• Oversees contractors.
• Oversees repairs from minor to major.
• Installs and removes DC racks.
• Installs and removes HAMM whips.
• Installs or changes Starline boxes per request.
• Installs rack for forklift chargers at AM, removes equipment to allow T.I. to take place for CM-24, runs cabling for card access, builds racks to support lockers in new location in B-2.
• Assembles benches for CM024 burn-in chamber.
• Assembles pigtails for Woody customer, removes old infrastructure supporting FB.
• Uses a computer as part of the job.

• Knowledge of construction and PM trades.
• Effective communication skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to use powered tools safely.
• Handles tasks/assignments which are moderately complex in nature.
• Judgment required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Can work effectively within a team environment.
• May train or occasionally lead a small group of lower-level non-exempt associates.
• Exudes leadership and takes initiative.
• Typically has over 2 years’ experience and advanced knowledge.
• Competent on equipment and tools.
• Good attitude, shows up on time, follows instructions, willingness and ability wherever needed.
