Warehouse Material Handler

Position Description

Permanent full‑time Warehouse Material Handler at Ryder in Tracy, California. Pay: hourly $23.00 with shift premium of $.50 for second shift and $1.50 for weekend pay. Schedules: 5 days per week (multiple schedules). Sample shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM.

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, loading and unloading of trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator’s license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Must be punctual with a good attendance record.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
• Possesses a high degree of initiative.
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work using health and safety methods.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule on various shifts.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
