Warehouse Forklift Material Handler

Position Description

Ryder is hiring Permanent Full Time Warehouse Material Handlers in Tracy, California.

• Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour
• Additional Shift Pay: $1.00 for 3rd‑shift work
• Schedules: 5 days per week (multiple schedules available)
• Typical 3rd‑shift hours: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, tote, and stage products; load and unload trucks.
• Manage day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred).
• Valid Forklift Operator's License (certified).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment and build professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, with excellent attendance.
• Works independently with minimal supervision and high initiative.
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Can lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Adheres to health and safety procedures.
• Available for flexible scheduling and various shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
