Environmental Superintendent BC

Lead environmental initiatives as the Environmental Superintendent in Trail, BC. Oversee remediation, biodiversity projects, and stakeholder relationships within a large industrial setting.

In this onsite, permanent role, you'll provide strategic leadership for environmental integrated systems, impacting long-term sustainability. You’ll manage a team of specialists, tackle air emissions and water management issues, and ensure compliance with regulations. The position requires collaboration with local communities and Indigenous groups to strengthen relationships and address environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead health, safety, and environmental stewardship initiatives

• Manage large-scale operating and capital budgets

• Oversee contaminated site remediation projects

• Implement biodiversity management and ecosystem initiatives

• Represent the organization on health and environment committees

Requirements:

• 10-15 years of leadership experience in heavy industry

• Bachelor's degree in related science or engineering field

• Proven project management and communication skills

• Understanding of federal and provincial regulations

• Ability to work with regulators and communities
