Role DescriptionThe MLS Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Traverse City, MI. This role manages and maintains the Multiple Listing Service platform, ensuring data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with MLS rules and policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include updating listings, monitoring data quality, responding to member inquiries, and coordinating with technology vendors to resolve system issues. The MLS Administrator provides user support and training for members, develops guides and resources, and communicates updates, changes, and best practices.
The role also collaborates with association staff to support initiatives that improve member experience and enhance MLS tools and services.
- Strong Communication skills for clear written and verbal interactions with members, staff, and vendors.
- Proven Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide member-centric support.
- Administrative Assistance skills, including data entry, documentation, scheduling, and record management.
- Technical Support skills to navigate MLS software, coordinate with vendors, and assist users with system functionality.
- Training skills to develop materials, conduct group or one-on-one sessions, and guide members through MLS features.
- Comfort with technology, including web-based platforms, databases, and Microsoft Office or similar tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy and follow policies and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an office environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Prior experience in real estate, MLS administration, or association environments is beneficial.
- Relevant education or training in business, information systems, or a related field is preferred.
