Compensation$25 – $35 per hour. Sign on bonus of $2000 included
PurposeWe are seeking a skilled Flooring Foreman to serve as the on‑site leader overseeing and managing specific assigned construction projects. The Flooring Foreman is responsible for ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications and timelines. This role requires hands‑on leadership and effective coordination of various construction activities, including supervising staff, managing materials and equipment, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily operations to ensure flooring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Attend project startup meetings with the superintendent and estimator/PM to review labor needs, special-order items, and jobsite conditions.
- Conduct daily huddles and toolbox talks to set goals, assign tasks, and track progress.
- Record daily accomplishments and compare them to planned goals to evaluate team performance.
- Manage labor needs proactively and communicate changes to the superintendent.
- Accurately record all labor hours and personnel assignments.
- Anticipate material and equipment needs and place timely orders through the office.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site throughout the project.
- Serve as the primary on‑site contact with the general contractor’s foreman or project manager.
- Resolve scheduling issues directly on‑site when possible.
- Attend weekly progress meetings and represent the company professionally.
- Document all extra work and obtain signed field work orders or extra work sheets before beginning.
- Track all equipment delivered to the site—company-owned or rented—and ensure it is returned.
- Periodically request and reconcile equipment inventory with actual on‑site assets.
- Coordinate job closeout by organizing materials and equipment for pickup and scheduling a final walkthrough with the superintendent.
- Proficient in the use of all flooring tools, mechanical tools, and sanding equipment.
- Capable of completing new flooring installations and working collaboratively with team members.
- Lead by example in professionalism, dependability, and safety practices.
- Must provide, maintain, and replace personal hand tools.
- Employer provides power tools and specialty equipment.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs regularly.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, and standing required.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Must pass a pre‑employment physical and drug screen.
Must have reliable transportation to travel between job sites.
