Watercolor, acrylic painting and/or drawing instructor wanted to teach art classes at the Michaels store in Traverse City, MI!

This is a part‑time, permanent position. It is a great opportunity for an artist who would like to offer classes but does not have their own studio space.

• Teach realistic acrylic painting, watercolor, and/or drawing classes.
• Build and market your own student base.

• Ability to paint and/or draw realistically.
• Teaching ability in realistic art techniques.
• Willingness to market classes and develop a student base.

• FREE Basics: MAKE A Project Classes – Schedule up to one time per month; hourly rate plus $3 per student.
• Advanced Classes – Acrylic Painting, Watercolor and Drawing
  :
  • Hourly rate plus $7 per student for 6 students or fewer.
  • Hourly rate plus $10 per student for 7 students or more.

All schedules are determined between the instructor and Michaels store management. Classes are two hours in length. The goal of each class is for students to leave with a finished painting or drawing.

All Grumbacher art instructors who teach at Michaels must become certified through Grumbacher. Certification is free of charge.
