Project Coordinator – Gas & Electric Distribution
Pay Rate: Starting at $25.00/hour
Logistics: Hybrid
Location: Traverse City, MI
The Project Coordinator supports the delivery of gas and electric services to residential and commercial/industrial customers by managing projects from customer request through design, scheduling, and field construction. This role serves as the primary customer point of contact and coordinates cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary liaison between customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders
- Gather customer project scopes and manage projects through design, scheduling, and construction phases
- Estimate customer and system loads; prepare cost estimates and identify permit requirements
- Create, manage, and track work orders and project milestones
- Analyze distribution design requirements and system impacts to support work order preparation
- Coordinate prerequisites to meet customer commitments in a fast?paced environment
- Provide project status updates and manage scheduling priorities
- Conduct field visits with customers as needed
- Utilize CAD, SAP, and other systems to support customer requests and quality control standards
- Working knowledge of gas and/or electric distribution systems
- Strong project coordination, task prioritization, and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze complex problems and recommend solutions
- Excellent communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to multitask and manage high?volume work under deadlines
- Strong computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office); experience with CAD and SAP preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Valid driver’s license required
- Associate degree in a technical or scientific field (48+ technical credit hours),
or - Two years of college coursework (60 credits) toward a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
