Bel Brands USA is seeking an R&D Packaging Intern to support innovation for brands like The Laughing Cow, Babybel, and Boursin. You will assist in developing and testing packaging concepts, conducting line trials, analyzing performance and cost, and documenting results. Working with R&D, operations, and marketing, you'll help optimize materials, sustainability, and consumer usability. This role offers hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes, packaging development workflows, and food safety and quality standards in a collaborative, people-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and refining packaging concepts for cheese products
- Support packaging tests, line trials, and performance evaluations
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data on packaging performance, cost, and sustainability
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and specifications
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and marketing on packaging initiatives
- Help identify and evaluate new materials or technologies for packaging
- Support compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability projects
