DescriptionTrue North Urgent Care is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented front office associate to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients from the moment they walk in the door. You will assist with the check-in process, register patients accurately, verify insurance information, handle billing inquiries, and ensure a smooth and efficient experience for all patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and assist them with completion of our check-in process.
- Register patients accurately and efficiently, ensuring all demographic and insurance information is up to date.
- Verify insurance eligibility and address any billing inquiries or concerns.
- Collect payments, issue receipts, and process charges for visits, tests, and supplies.
- Escort patients requiring urgent care to the treatment area for evaluation.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office workspace.
- Answer incoming calls, take messages, and distribute them promptly.
- Assist with filing, scanning medical documents, and completing office tasks as needed.
- Operate and maintain medical and office equipment.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
- Provide friendly and professional service to all patients and staff members.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in typing and working with computer systems.
- Previous experience in medical office administration is preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance plans including but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, Priority Health and Blue Cross Blue Shield and medical billing procedures is advantageous.
