Job Summary

We’re seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain our facility’s buildings at optimum cleanliness and sanitation levels. This role involves providing consistent housekeeping services to our resident rooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces. If you enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and take pride in maintaining cleanliness, we’d love to have you on our team!

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect resident rooms, day rooms, dining areas, lounges, and restrooms using approved cleaning products and equipment.
  • Dust, mop, and vacuum floors in all assigned areas, including hallways, elevators, and stairways.
  • Clean and polish mirrors, frames, light fixtures, and furniture.
  • Empty waste baskets and maintain flower and plant care throughout the facility.
  • Replenish resident room supplies such as soap, paper towels, light bulbs, and toilet paper.
  • Assist with cleaning isolation units and rooms after a resident’s discharge or expiration, following approved procedures.
  • Maintain and organize the housekeeping supply closet and cleaning cart.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to organization’s dress code and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous institutional housekeeping/laundry experience is preferred.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
  • Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Working Conditions
  • Position requires working in an environment with noise and occasional unpleasant odors.
  • May require standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
  • Exposure to cleaning products and disinfectants is common.
  • You may need to work weekends and holidays based on staffing needs.
