Part-Time Custodian

The Part-Time Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the church facilities, ensuring that Harvest Traverse City remains a welcoming environment for worship, ministry, and events. This role focuses on weekend hours and includes cleaning, light maintenance, and facility support to ensure smooth operations during services and activities.

• Custodial Excellence: Ensure the church building is clean, organized, and safe by performing routine custodial tasks and light maintenance.
• Facility Readiness: Prepare spaces for services and events, including setup, teardown, and responding to facility needs during gatherings.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and address issues promptly, including routine cleaning, minor repairs, or urgent facility needs.
• Safety & Stewardship: Follow safety procedures, report facility concerns, and help maintain church resources with care and responsibility.
• Flexibility & Responsiveness: Be available to respond to unexpected custodial needs.

• Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Must be available for weekend shifts, including Sunday mornings and occasional special events.
