As a material handler, you will ensure the timely movement of all materials within your designated location, tracking movements in computerized systems to maintain accurate inventory.

• Operate a forklift to move raw materials, packaging, finished product, and other items from one location to another.
• Use the company’s computer systems to track all material movement transactions, both incoming and outgoing.
• Observe all GMP, food safety, and employee safety requirements.
• Load 53‑foot trailers with a lift truck.
• Handle shipping and receiving of products and materials.
• Log incoming material and outgoing pallets into the computer system.
• Recognize shortages in the system and order materials for the next shift.
• Follow detailed processes for assigned work to ensure proper completion.

• Must understand both written and verbal instructions in English.

• Prior experience with forklifts and material handling in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience working in the food industry is a plus.
• Must be able to measure and understand tare weight.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Computer skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Competency with weights and measures.

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to repeatedly get on and off a forklift safely.
• Must be able to work 8 hours per day and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in cold temperature environments when wearing proper attire.
