CNC Machine Operator - Aerospace
In this position, you will be responsible for the daily function of the Automated Manufacturing Lines.
- Loads Raw Parts and Unload Finished Parts from the manufacturing cell.
- Completes in-process checks on parts to ensure quality products.
- Respond to Cell Alarm as the First Line of Defense for Downtime
- Monitors Run Charts to identify features trending out of spec and make necessary adjustments.
- Completes daily Startup Procedures and End of Shift logs.
- Communicate and escalate issues to the appropriate department promptly.
- Responsible for completing Changeovers in the cell, including changing Tooling, Fixtures, EOAT, Drawer Templates, etc., to prepare the cell ready for production.
- Moves Finished Parts to the next step in the process.
- Escalates issues to the appropriate party, taking a proactive approach to producing quality parts and keeping the machines running.
- Washes parts using High Pressure Parts Washer.
- Work with a team to improve the processes within the automation cells continuously.
- Keeps the area clean and tour-ready at all times.
- Other duties as necessary.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Able to watch a Process and identify areas for improvement.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify and prioritize tasks to be the most efficient.
- Ability to read Run Charts and know when a change needs to be made to keep production on track (SPC).
- Good Team Player, willing to jump in and lend a hand to the surrounding team.
Qualifications:
- Experience in an Automated Production environment.
- Competency with basic measurement tools (calipers, thread gages, etc.).
- Experience working with Fanuc Robots, Allen Bradley PLCs, Okuma CNCs, and Zeiss CMMs is a plus but not necessary.
- Basic Computer Knowledge, including Microsoft Office programs.
- Able to lift up to 35lbs.
- Able to maneuver over 100 lbs with the assistance of manual and electric cranes.
Climate-controlled manufacturing facility with a moderate noise level. In this position, you work a full-time schedule in a manufacturing setting.
