Plant Manager

Movement Search and Delivery is conducting a confidential search for a Plant Manager with a client company of ours that is a global supplier to the automotive, aerospace, and defense markets. This is a direct-hire position and it is based around Traverse City, MI.

This Sr.

-level position will partner with the leadership team in translating business strategy into action that drives business results for this key location.

• -Participate as lead staff member responsible for operation and performance of entire operation
• -Lead multi-disciplined plant team in meeting monthly forecasts and appropriate business metric
• -Develop strategic manufacturing direction and planning for 1-3 year planning horizon
• -Direct preparation of operational budgets and coordinates capital plans, appropriation requests, and project follow up
• -Accountable for leading manufacturing, environment, health & safety, engineering, quality, human resources, and finance to achieve business objectives
• -Manage the day-to-day activities of the manufacturing process
• -Analyze and implement process flow, inventory and velocity improvements

• * 3+ years experience as a Plant Manager and/or Operations Manager
• * Previous P&L responsibility
• * Experience with Toyota Production System and other Lean Manufacturing principles
• * Self-motivated and self-directed
