CNC Machinist

Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in tanker truck equipment, is seeking a dedicated CNC Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be an essential part of the manufacturing operations supporting the production of high-quality equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong mechanical aptitude, and a desire to contribute to a successful team environment.

Location:

Traverse City, MI

Pay Range: $20-22/hr based on experience

Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday through Friday, overtime sometimes available and encouraged.

What's the Job?

• Read and interpret technical documents and drawings of parts needing to be machined.
• Set up and operate CNC machines including mills and lathes from Okuma, Haas, and Mazak.
• Verify measurements of finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Machine, drill, shape, grind, and polish parts to meet quality standards.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment while working independently or as part of a team.

What's Needed?

• 2 to 3 years of experience in CNC machining or a related field.
• Ability to read and understand G, M, and conversational codes.
• Proficiency in setting up programs and operating CNC equipment from various manufacturers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Reliable transportation and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
