CNC Machine Programmer

CNC Programmer - 1st shift (6am - 2:30 pm)
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC programming and machining knowledge, with hands-on experience using Fusion 360 or ESPRIT and programming multi-axis CNC equipment.

Machine Programmer is responsible for developing, editing, and optimizing CNC programs to ensure the precise and efficient production of parts according to engineering specifications. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools and machining strategies, and collaborating with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes. The Machine Programmer plays a key role in maximizing productivity, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.

Key Position Activities Operator and Program Machinery Interpret Technical Documentation Quality Control and Inspection Troubleshooting and Continuous Improvement Primary Responsibilities Write, revise, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.

Translate CNC Programmer - 1st shift engineering drawings and 3D models into accurate machining instructions.

Select appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, and machining sequences to maximize efficiency and quality.

Set up or assist with the setting up of CNC machines to validate new or revised programs.

Perform test runs and adjust programs as needed to achieve desired results.

Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control to resolve machining issues and ensure product conformity.

Maintain a library of programs and ensure proper documentation of setups and tooling instructions.

Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction and scrap minimization.

All other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in CNC manufacturing and programming

Experience preferred programming and operating Mori Seiki 5-axis machining centers

Experience preferred programming Doosan 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers

Proficiency with Fusion 360 or ESPRIT preferred

Strong understanding of CNC programming, tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&TAbility to troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs for quality and efficiency

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Essential High  school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in machining or manufacturing technology preferred.

Minimum 5+ years of experience operating and programming CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in G-code and major CAM software platforms.

Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and material characteristics.

Familiar with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.Ability to work from complex blueprints and CAD drawings.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Capable of lifting 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis machining.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
