• As the Employee Health Nurse, you will document all employee injuries and illnesses within the workplace.
• You may perform pre‑employment screenings, routine and specialized vaccinations and immunizations and testing as well as return‑to‑work exams.
• You will work closely with employees as a key resource for first aid, exposures, immunizations, and interpretation of workplace restrictions.
• The work you do will make a difference: the Employee Health Nurse assists in implementing medical surveillance programs as required by regulatory agencies such as OSHA, CDC, and JACHO, or as requested in cooperation with Infection Prevention and/or Occupational Health physician.
• You will document employee health records and visits thoroughly and accurately in the Employee Health computer database.

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a related degree preferred.
• January 1, 2009:
  Encouraged to obtain a BSN. Certification in specialty area of practice also encouraged. For those hired into an RN position after January 1, 2009, BSN required within 10 years of start date. For those hired after January 1, 2015, BSN required within 5 years of start date.
• 3 years experience in acute care nursing, employee health background and/or certification in occupational health; working knowledge of CDC/OSHA regulations and standards preferred.
• Experience with Excel and basic computer systems required; prior database maintenance experience preferred.

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab‑confirmed immunity for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
