Cochran Booth & Co., owner-operator of a growing portfolio of manufactured housing communities across Michigan and the Midwest, is seeking a Head of Property Management to oversee the full scope of property operations across the portfolio.

This individual will be responsible for property management, leasing, home sales, tenant relations, and financial reporting to leadership. The role will oversee on-site management teams and be directly responsible for the financial success of individual communities. The position will also play a key role in building and scaling a high-performing property management team to support a rapidly expanding portfolio of manufactured housing community assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations across all communities within the portfolio
  • Manage and support on‑site property managers and staff
  • Oversee leasing, home sales, occupancy, and collections
  • Handle escalated tenant matters and ensure strong tenant relations across communities
  • Monitor and drive financial performance at the property level
  • Review budgets, collections, and operating results and report to leadership
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to increase NOI and efficiency
  • Establish and refine property management systems, processes, and standards
  • Recruit, train, and build a scalable property management team as the portfolio grows
  • Ensure properties operate in compliance with applicable regulations and company standards
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of property management experience required
  • Experience overseeing multiple properties preferred
  • Manufactured housing community experience a strong plus
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Financial and operational acumen with the ability to manage property‑level performance
  • Excellent communication and tenant‑relations skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast‑growing environment
Compensation
  • $75,000–$100,000 salary range, plus bonus potential based on experience and performance.
