Maintenance Technician

Delta Workforce is hiring a Maintenance Tech in Traverse City!

Employment Type:

Full-Time (40 hours/week) Hourly Rate: $19-$26 / hour, depending on experience

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with 1-hour lunch. Overview:
Seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain a commercial retail property in Traverse City. The role involves general upkeep of common areas, grounds keeping, and minor repairs to ensure a safe and functional environment for tenants and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Grounds keeping:
  Mow lawns, maintain landscaping, and perform snow removal (no plowing; shoveling and salting as needed).
• Minor Repairs:
  Address basic electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues (e.g., change common area lighting, inspect roof leaks via hatch, apply roofing glue).
• General Maintenance:
  Clean and maintain three corridors, blow debris off roofs, and change HVAC filters.
• Property Walkthroughs:
  Inspect parking lots and common areas, coordinating with snow plow contractors to ensure accessibility.
• Tenant Support:
  Respond to minor maintenance requests in common areas (tenants handle their own unit-specific issues).
• Equipment Use:
  Operate provided tractors and tools for landscaping and snow removal.

Requirements:
General knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or snow removal. Ability to work independently with common sense and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license required.
