Experienced Service Technician – Residential HVAC (3+ years of experience)

Precision Plumbing & Heating Systems in Traverse City, MI seeks a skilled HVAC service technician to provide maintenance and repair for residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems. The role emphasizes high‑quality customer service, training apprentices, and contributing to technical training plans.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of residential and commercial HVAC systems.
• Assist in training apprentice service technicians.
• Provide feedback to the Service Manager on technical training needs.
• Use the company’s technology to process customer data on‑site.
• Adhere to company safety procedures and quality standards.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
• Willingness to attend service training seminars and classes.
• Ability to work from a 12‑inch step ladder.
• Comfortable troubleshooting and repairing forced‑air furnaces.
• Understanding of and ability to communicate preventive maintenance benefits.
• Advanced customer service skills and clear communication with customers and coworkers.
• Comfortable using technology to process customer data onsite.
• Willingness to seek customer care excellence and educate customers about value options.
• Experience with residential boilers is a plus.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling License or willingness to pursue within 3 months.
• NATE certification or willingness to pursue within 1 year.
