Ace Handyman Services of Traverse City is seeking a skilled Master Craftsman to join our growing team. In this role, you will bring your diverse trade skills directly to local homeowners, handling everything from quick household repairs to medium-sized remodeling projects. This position is built for a seasoned trade professional who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, enjoys variety in their daily tasks, and wants the stability of a reliable Monday-through-Friday schedule with a locally owned business backed by the trusted Ace Hardware brand.

On a day-to-day basis, success means arriving at jobsites on time, diagnosing home maintenance issues, and executing clean, professional repairs. You will work independently in the field, managing your time efficiently while keeping homeowners informed and comfortable with the process.

Over time, success means building a reputation for reliability and expertise in the Traverse City community. You will help us maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, accurately estimate small-to-medium projects, and occasionally mentor or lead helper crews on larger jobs. Your expertise will directly contribute to the growth and trusted reputation of our local branch.

Complete a wide variety of residential repairs, improvements, and maintenance tasks.

Perform hands-on carpentry, drywall repair, painting, tile installation, and flooring.

Handle basic plumbing and electrical repairs, such as replacing fixtures, faucets, and switches.

Evaluate projects on-site to estimate time, materials, and scope of work for homeowners.

Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to explain repairs and answer questions.

Ensure all jobsites are left clean, safe, and organized.

10+ years of professional experience in home trades, carpentry, or general residential remodeling.

Strong, hands-on proficiency in multiple trades (specifically carpentry, drywall, basic plumbing, and basic electrical).

Your own standard set of hand and power tools appropriate for everyday home repairs.

A valid driver's license and a reliable, work-appropriate vehicle (a truck or utility van is highly preferred).

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.

Prior experience estimating job costs and material needs.

Experience leading small crews or managing residential jobsites.

Competitive hourly pay based on your professional experience.

Consistent full-time schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (no weekends).
