DescriptionThe Family Support Worker is responsible for providing support to the Foster Care Specialists, foster parents, natural parents, and children in achieving the treatment plan objectives of foster care cases. The Family Support Worker will facilitate supervised parenting time services for the contract requirements of parenting time referrals from DHHS as well as any other referral source. Family Support Workers will not have responsibility for any of the following: case planning, selecting placements, foster home certification, conducting adoptive family evaluations, or supervisory placement of children in foster care.
RequirementsAssociate degree or higher in Human Services related field is preferred but not required.
Experience working with families and children preferred
Valid driver's license required
Background checks required
Must have the ability to work with a diverse population, understand and interact well with children of all ages.
