Role Summary
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager or Location Manager, the Route Driver is responsible for driving and operating a delivery vehicle and straight truck (box truck) to move and haul cargo between customer locations upon assignment from the Supervisor. Route Drivers are essential to the overall operation of the business. As a Route Driver, you will represent the company, provide exceptional customer service, build customer relationships, and ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Drive products to various customer locations.
- Load and unload trucks in accordance with established procedures.
- Review and optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency and timeliness using data and feedback.
- Maintain a daily shipping manifest.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, hand trucks, and other machinery.
- Keep the delivery vehicle in excellent condition – clean, well‑maintained, and inspected for mechanical issues.
- Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures.
- Operate additional warehouse equipment safely.
- Attend required training and meetings.

- Entry‑level work experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Driver’s license with appropriate state licensing and a clean driving record, plus a DOT medical exam and a 1‑Year Card (paid by the company).
- Basic computer skills – use of barcode scanners, printers, and warehouse equipment/tools.
- Strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under direct supervision.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work 8+ hour days, and perform typical warehouse tasks.

- At least 1 year of industrial wholesale distribution or local delivery driving experience.
