Our client, a leading logistics and supply chain organization, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join their team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be part of the operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Location: Traverse City, MI
Pay Range: $20/hr
Shift: 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday
What s the Job?
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Perform inspections for damage, defects, and compliance with specifications.
- Unload/load pallets and stage shipments for processing.
- Prepare, pack, and label outbound orders; generate shipping documentation and freight carrier manifests.
- Schedule freight carrier pickups and track shipments until delivery confirmation.
What s Needed?
- 3-5 years in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control roles.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Associate s Degree or equivalent - Preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and frequent standing/walking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
