Job Summary

Warehouse Operator is responsible for operating the powered industrial truck and forklift to move product, equipment, or materials.

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for operating a powered industrial truck and forklift safely.

* Responsible for pre-operational inspections of the powered industrial truck and forklift.

* Operate a scanner and learn the required transaction process.

* Responsible for picking both fresh and frozen products.

* Responsible for loading and unloading trucks along with completing the necessary documentation.

* Maintenance and good housekeeping duties.

* Responsible for cooler and freezer operations.

* Repair and sort pallets as needed.

* Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

* Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of related experience is preferred. Experience in food manufacturing or processing is a plus. Previous experience operating a powered industrial truck and/or forklift.

* Age:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

* Authorization:
Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsor ships are available.

* Certification:
Must be able to become certified on operating equipment including powered industrial trucks and forklift.

* Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

* Skills:

Must be able to problem solve and perform basic math. Must be able to work independently without constant supervision. Must have good attention to detail.

* Physical Abilities:

* Ability to stand for long periods.

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including above the head and below the waist.

* Environmental:
Ability to work in varying temperature conditions including cold temperatures.

* Flexibility:
Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.

* Compliance:
Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.
