Job Summary

As a Warehouse Lead you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Receiving area during your assigned shift. The Warehouse Lead will maintain a safe environment in line with all company policies and procedures, back up all positions in the department as well as provide training to team members to ensure duties are completed timely and correctly.

Impact You'll Have (Key Responsibilities)
  • Experience & Growth Mindset: Industry experience is a plus, but we hire based on attitude and potential—we train for skill! Previous food manufacturing and Warehouse/Shipping experience is a plus.
  • Age: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsor ships are available.
  • Certification: Must be able to become certified on operating equipment.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Skills: Must be able to problem solve and perform basic math. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to speak, read and write English. Mus have basic computer skills.
  • Physical Abilities: Capability for continuous standing and repetitive hand/finger movements at line speed, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds (including above the head/below the waist).
  • Environmental: Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Compliance: Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.
  • Assist Warehouse Supervisor by leading the team and ensuring daily tasks are completed.
  • Ensure proper receiving and movement of raw, ready to eat products or supplies are accounted for.
  • Load and unload trailers as needed.
  • Ensure materials are delivered to correct locations.
  • Ensure items are stored in the correct locations.
  • Use hand trucks, conveyors, sorting bins and pallet jack.
  • Use a box knife to open boxes and packages.
  • Record and communicate shipment data such as weight, charges, damages, and discrepancies.
  • Provide assistance to the supervisor and or manager as needed.
  • Serve as the guardian of product quality, strictly maintaining proper meat quality and temperature standards. Ensure 100% adherence to food safety standards by completing all required HACCP documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
