Title: Extrusion Operator

Department: Shrink – Extrusion

Immediate Supervisor: Extrusion Supervisor

Status: Full-Time Graveyard/Rotating 2-2-3 Crew D

Position

Purpose:

Operates, Maintains, and controls the equipment and process on the Blown Line to produce high quality WIP roll in a safe and productive manner to efficiently service customer orders by performing the following duties.

• Maintains a clean and safe work area, machines, and equipment.
• Identifies and reports deficiencies in product quality or packing.
• Adjust the line to correct specifications by setting necessary controls and process conditions.
• Monitors the line to maintain changing conditions by adjusting die bolts, heat adjustments, tube tracking, winder settings and other process settings to ensure quality of WIP produced.
• Conducts quality tests by cutting, weighing, and checking film samples for proper quality specifications.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Other duties assigned by the Extrusion Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
