Role Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. You will ensure that Integer internal and external customers’ expectations are met or exceeded and adhere to safety, environmental, security and quality requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new and unique approaches to complex problems and lead projects to advance Integer’s technological capabilities.
  • Investigate and interpret internal or external technology and business trends and recommend best practices to the organization.
  • Evaluate, develop and implement a wide range of new technologies of significant scope and complexity.
  • Identify and procure new equipment and technology of significant scope, complexity, and cost.
  • Originate new documents such as protocols, reports, specifications and work‑instructions; review documentation work product of peers and subordinates.
  • Plan and develop engineering projects concerning unique or high‑profile problems with major impact on major programs.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk and/or complexity and influence others to achieve goals.
  • Provide supervision for up to 4–5 technicians and/or associate engineers, and coach and mentor other engineers.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with individuals and business units within or outside the site or organization.
  • Deploy subject‑matter expertise across multiple organizations and/or locations as directed, with occasional travel.
  • Embed quality within the engineering discipline, ensuring adherence to the Quality Management System, facilitating corrective and preventive actions, and contributing to quality KPIs.
  • Support Manufacturing Excellence and Market‑Focused Innovation Strategies, championing systems and tools for continuous improvement.
Performance Measures
  • Safety: active support of the Environmental, Health & Safety programs.
  • Quality: achievement of site Quality KPIs and effective use of the Quality Management System.
  • Project goals: defined objectives, key projects, expected milestones and shortened project durations.
  • Innovation: generation of continuous improvement suggestions and support of their implementation.
  • Collaboration:

    delivery of results through teamwork and cross‑functional cooperation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or related technical field (Master’s or Doctorate preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive engineering and/or technically focused roles; alternatively, 15+ years of relevant experience if education requirement not met.
  • Strong technical and problem‑solving foundation with training and certifications such as 6‑Sigma (green belt minimum, black belt preferred), 8D, RCA, 5‑Why, Ishikawa, Kepner‑Tregoe, PMP.
  • Ability to observe, analyze, and develop solutions to complex technical challenges, delivering breakthrough results.
  • Experience leading team activities and coaching less experienced associates.
  • Clear, professional communication skills both written and oral; ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Calm demeanor in a high‑energy, constantly changing production environment and a positive, can‑do attitude.
