Michael Bates Chevrolet is looking for an experienced A-Level Automotive Technician who can handle diagnostics, electrical work, general repair, and major R&R. With approximately 170 vehicles coming through the dealership each week
, this is an opportunity to join an established service department with strong shop volume, foreman support, and a full benefits package.

• Heavy Domestic/GM workload
• Approximately 50/50 diagnostics and maintenance
• Engine and transmission R&R

• Diagnose and repair Domestic and GM vehicles
• Perform general automotive repair and maintenance
• Diagnose drivability concerns
• Perform electrical diagnosis and repair
• Complete engine and transmission removal and replacement
• Perform digital vehicle inspections
• Identify and order necessary parts
• Work efficiently within a high-volume dealership environment

• Minimum 4 years of automotive technician experience
• A-Level diagnostic and repair capabilities
• Valid driver’s license
• Required State of Michigan certification/licensing applicable to the position
• Own professional automotive tools
• Experience working with digital vehicle inspections
• Ability to handle both diagnostic and maintenance work

ASE certifications and previous dealership or GM experience are preferred.
