Carlson High School
Current Wage: $150/day (for long term assignments)
Expected Time Frame:
September 2026 December 2026 (approximately 12 weeks; dates subject to change)
Reports To:
Building Principal
Qualifications:
- 60+ college credits required
- Valid and current Michigan teacher certificate preferred
- Previous teacher or guest teaching experience preferred
Primary
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, implement and document high quality instruction and assessments to meet the needs of all students according to state of Michigan standards
- Honor and carry out district initiatives, professional development, and curriculum
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, and colleagues, and administration
- Participate in a professional learning community setting by collaborating regularly with team of teachers
- Integrate technology effectively in a variety of forms on a daily basis as appropriate
- Exhibit a positive demeanor and support a positive work environment
- Maintain consistent attendance and report to work on time as expected
- Monitor the female locker room
- Attend all meetings required for this position
- Complete assigned tasks, reports, and other requirements on time
Exceptions may be made as deemed appropriate by administration
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk over extended periods of time in a work day
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time in a work day, and to sit/stand several times in short periods of time
