$1,000.00/yr – $1,000.00/yr (actual pay based on skills and experience).

Assists the Maintenance Department to ensure that the facility is safe, attractive, and well maintained.

• Relevant work experience (2+ years preferred).
• Effective communication with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Basic reporting and organizational skills.
• Capable of maintaining proper attendance.

• Care for the routine maintenance needs of the facility and its residents as if they were your own home and family.
• Assist the Administrator with fire and life safety training and drills.
• Respond to resident/Administrator/staff requests for maintenance through maintenance reports and log system.
• Ensure 24‑hour repair/response time for all daily maintenance requests.
• Perform minor repairs.
• Maintain a mechanically sound, safe, and well‑maintained facility; interiors neat, paint and wall coverings clean, sound, and chip/scratch free. Patching, painting, and repair, as well as carpet/floor care, will be major parts of the maintenance program.
• Maintain grounds, building exterior and interior, signage year‑round; weed and trim beds and lawns; manage seasonal foliage as part of the exterior maintenance plan.
