Steel Tool & Engineering, a leading manufacturer in the aerospace sector, is hiring a precise, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented person to join us full-time and oversee vital quality control functions.

Trenton, Michigan - Pay: $19.25-$20.25 per hour
- 1st Shift
Schedule:
6:00 am to 4:30 pm
The entry-level Quality Inspector supervises the daily manufacturing operations to ensure precision, quality, and compliance throughout all activities and finished products. You'll ensure the products meet requirements and specifications, stepping in as needed to resolve issues and improve quality. This role involves:
- Performing quality inspections on steel tools, components, and engineering materials during the 1st shift
- Effectively using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measurement tools to check dimensions
- Identifying and documenting defects and recommending corrective actions
- Ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards and company guidelines
- Preparing accurate inspection records and reports for quality control audits
- Collaborating with production, engineering, and quality control teams to fix issues and enhance manufacturing processes
- Driving continuous improvement and developing initiatives for elevating product quality and operational efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong knowledge of measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Familiarity with ISO standards and industry regulations
- preferred - Experience in quality inspection within the steel, tooling, or engineering industries

- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to regularly lift heavy objects (50+ lbs.)
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with few breaks
