Healthcare Audit Senior
A growing CPA practice is seeking an experienced Healthcare Audit Senior to support its expanding healthcare services group. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse mix of healthcare organizations, including hospitals, health systems, physician groups, FQHCs, and other medical providers. You’ll join a collaborative team of seasoned audit professionals and work in an environment that prioritizes professional development, technical excellence, and long-term career growth.
Responsibilities- Execute audit, review, and compilation engagements for healthcare clients in accordance with firm and professional standards.
- Perform detailed audit testing, including risk assessment procedures, substantive testing, and documentation of findings.
- Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and related reports for healthcare entities.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients during fieldwork, addressing questions and resolving issues as they arise.
- Supervise and guide staff auditors, reviewing work papers and providing coaching and feedback.
- Identify accounting, regulatory, and compliance considerations specific to healthcare organizations and communicate observations to engagement leadership.
- Manage multiple engagements or work streams simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
- Assist with engagement planning, budgeting, and coordination with managers and partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA required or actively pursuing.
- 3–5+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on external audits.
- Direct experience auditing healthcare organizations such as hospitals, health systems, or medical groups.
- Strong understanding of healthcare-specific accounting and regulatory standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively while independently managing assigned responsibilities.
