LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established organization within the hospitality sector to identify a Bookkeeper to join their growing team. This position will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping, timely processing of transactions, and strong support of overall accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily cash receipts, deposits, and related account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and period-end close activities, including journal entries and financial reporting assistance.
- Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor payments, prepayments, and weekly check runs.
- Maintain and verify customer and vendor tax, banking, and account information.
- Handle client commission payments, refund processing, and credit card dispute resolution.
- Respond to customer payment inquiries and provide excellent service regarding billing and payment matters.
- Assist with the administration and reconciliation of petty cash and other financial assets.
- Generate ad hoc reports utilizing accounting software and Excel to support departmental needs.
- Process accounting-related transactions and memos within internal reservation and operating systems.
- Perform various accounting and administrative duties to support the Accounting Department and broader organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or accounting support experience.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with accounting software; exposure to Expensify, Spendwise, or Softrip is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism.
