Our client is hiring a Contributions Specialist to play critical role in supporting the administration of multiemployer employee benefit plans by ensuring the accurate processing, reconciliation, and maintenance of employer contribution records. This position serves as a key resource for employers, participants, union representatives, trustees, auditors, and internal stakeholders, helping to maintain eligibility information and compliance through timely and accurate contribution administration.
The Contributions Specialist develops increasing levels of technical expertise in employer reporting, contribution systems, reciprocal processing, and Fund-specific procedures. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, customer service excellence, and a commitment to supporting the vital benefit programs that serve working families, retirees, and their beneficiaries.

To thrive/succeed as the Contributions Specialist, you should have:- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor's degree in business, accounting, human resources, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in employee benefits administration, accounts receivable, accounting, insurance, customer service, or a related administrative environment preferred;
Taft-Hartley or multiemployer benefit plan experience is a plus. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to research and resolve discrepancies accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with participants, employers, union representatives, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with benefit administration platforms such as AS400, BASYS, ISSI, or similar systems preferred.
- Process and reconcile employer contribution activity by reviewing remittance reports, validating hours worked, contribution rates, and participant information, and maintaining accurate contribution records and system data.
- Administer participant eligibility records by processing eligibility changes, reinstatements, retiree updates, and related communications in accordance with Fund rules and requirements.
- Research and resolve contribution-related issues including employer reporting discrepancies, payroll reporting concerns, eligibility questions, reciprocal transfers, and other participant or employer inquiries.
- Provide responsive customer service and support to employers, contractors, local unions, participants, trustees, auditors, and internal departments regarding contribution and eligibility matters.
- Support operational and compliance activities by assisting with audits, reconciliations, system updates, process improvement initiatives, and ensuring adherence to ERISA, HIPAA, Fund policies, and company procedures while maintaining strict confidentiality.
