Staff Accountant
The Company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will support core accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives while working closely with teams across the organization.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, comfortable working with data, and able to communicate financial information clearly to both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Assist with external audit requests and year-end reporting requirements.
- Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
Analyze and explain budget-to-actual variances and period-over-period changes, providing clear, actionable insights to leadership.
Assist in identifying and implementing improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within accounting processes and ERP systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams including operations, sales, and leadership.
- Communicate financial information to department heads and maintain relationships with other departments.
Requirements:
- Four-year college degree in Accounting
- 2-4 years of accounting work experience
- Understanding of GAAP principles and policies
- Exceptional thoroughness and attention to detail especially when working with large data sets
- Ability to work in fast paced, heavy data entry environment
- Intermediate Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
Experience with Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, or data warehouse reporting tools.
- Focus on efficiency and automation, inclusive of utilizing AI tools
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to work within a team concept and communicate with stakeholders throughout the organization
- Ability to comprehend fast-paced business issues and practices
- Curious mindset, willing to ask questions in order to gain confidence to make decisions
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Salary:
$75,000–$85,000
Additional Information
This position is based in Trenton, NJ. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
