Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations in Hamilton, New Jersey. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing payables and receivables, and ensuring accounts are properly reconciled. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Quick Books and can work independently while keeping financial information organized and current.

Responsibilities:

- Record financial transactions accurately and maintain up-to-date bookkeeping records for daily business activity.

- Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor outstanding obligations to support efficient accounts payable operations.

- Prepare and issue customer invoices, apply incoming payments, and follow up on open balances to maintain healthy accounts receivable.

- Reconcile bank accounts and other financial records on a regular basis to identify discrepancies and ensure reporting accuracy.

- Use Quick Books to enter, organize, and review financial data while maintaining consistency across accounting records.

- Support the maintenance of accounting information within related business systems, including Connect Wise, as needed for operational alignment.

- Assist with month-end financial review activities by organizing records and helping verify account balances.

- Communicate with internal teams and external contacts to resolve billing, payment, or reconciliation issues in a timely manner.

Requirements - Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping with a strong understanding of core accounting processes.

- Proficiency in Quick Books for transaction entry, account maintenance, and financial record review.

- Practical knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

- Experience completing bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Familiarity with Connect Wise or the ability to quickly learn related financial and operational systems.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating on accounting matters.

- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
