Position Summary

The Contract Specialist is responsible for supporting the full contract lifecycle across Eaton Fiber’s operations, including vendor agreements, construction and engineering contracts, municipal agreements, right-of-way agreements, and professional services contracts. This role works cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and External Affairs to ensure contracts are accurate, compliant, and executed efficiently to support rapid network deployment. This is a full-time on-site role in Bergen County, NJ.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, track, and administer a high volume of contracts, amendments, and related documents
  • Manage contract lifecycle from initiation through execution, compliance, and close-out
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract terms align with business, operational, and financial objectives
  • Support contracts related to fiber construction, engineering services, permitting, pole attachments, ROW access, material distribution, vendors, and consultants
  • Maintain contract repository and ensure accurate documentation, version control, and audit readiness
  • Track key contractual obligations, deliverables, renewal dates, and expirations
  • Assist with compliance requirements, including regulatory, insurance, and vendor onboarding documentation
  • Support negotiation preparation by identifying risks, inconsistencies, and non-standard terms
  • Interface with outside counsel and vendors as needed
  • Continuously improve contract processes, templates, and workflows to support company growth
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in contract administration, contract management, or legal operations
  • Experience in telecom, broadband, utilities, construction, or infrastructure strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of contract terms, risk mitigation, and compliance concepts
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience supporting municipal, right-of-way, or public-private partnership agreements preferred
  • Familiarity with fiber deployment, construction contracts, or telecom regulatory environments
  • Strong aptitude to learn and effectively use enterprise IT systems and business platforms
