The Risk & Regulatory Coordinator supports operations across Pennsylvania and New Jersey by helping ensure alignment with state cannabis laws, internal protocols, and licensing requirements. This role plays a key part in promoting operational integrity by monitoring regulatory changes, identifying potential risks, and collaborating across departments to support compliance excellence.
This is a highly visible role for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated by solving complex operational challenges in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support license applications, renewals, and updates for cannabis operations in PA and NJ
- Maintain documentation and internal systems related to state filings, facility records, and operational standards
- Monitor regulatory changes and assist in communicating updates to internal stakeholders
- Assist in preparation for site inspections, audits, and regulatory agency inquiries
- Coordinate internal reviews of procedures and records to ensure alignment with required protocols
- Track incidents, document corrective actions, and follow up on operational integrity issues
- Assist with the creation, maintenance, and distribution of SOPs and regulatory documentation
- Conduct walkthroughs of facilities to identify potential gaps and partner with teams to resolve issues in real time
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive business, personnel, and licensing information
- Collaborate with leaders across cultivation, production, dispensary, and corporate teams to support consistency and compliance
- Clearly communicate regulatory requirements and operational guidance to team members at all levels
- Build professional, productive relationships with regulators and inspectors
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations that help teams stay aligned and prepared
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-4 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory-focused role
- Working knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements; cannabis industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience conducting audits, developing SOPs, and managing corrective actions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Ability to analyze issues and implement practical solutions
- Proficiency with compliance systems, spreadsheets, and standard office software
- Ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
- Travel may be required for inspections, audits, or meetings across NJ and PA
- Schedule flexibility based on business needs
