SUMMARY:The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing data-driven pricing strategies that optimize revenue growth, profitability, and market competitiveness across the Company's product portfolio. This role combines pricing analytics, competitive intelligence, business intelligence, and financial analysis to support strategic pricing decisions across e-commerce and commercial sales channels.
The Senior Pricing Analyst partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Operations, and Leadership to evaluate pricing performance, monitor competitive activity, analyze customer buying behavior, and identify opportunities to improve margin and market share.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and experience with pricing analysis, utilizing business intelligence tools and advanced analytics to influence strategic pricing decisions within manufacturing, printing, distribution, or e-commerce environments.
Salary Range: $100,000- $130,000 annually. Compensation commensurate with experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Analyze pricing performance across products, brands, customers, channels, and market segments.
- Develop pricing recommendations to optimize revenue, gross margin, and market competitiveness.
- Evaluate price elasticity, customer purchasing behavior, discounting, rebates, and promotional effectiveness.
- Partner with Sales and Product Management to evaluate pricing requests, customer agreements, and strategic pricing opportunities.
- Monitor competitor pricing, products, promotions, service levels, and value propositions across key markets and digital channels.
- Identify competitive pricing gaps, market threats, opportunities, and emerging industry trends.
- Develop competitive pricing dashboards and reporting to support business decisions.
- Analyze product portfolio performance and identify pricing, assortment, and profitability opportunities.
- Recommend pricing strategies for new product introductions, product rationalization, and market expansion.
- Develop executive pricing dashboards, KPI scorecards, and automated reporting using Tableau, SQL, Excel, and other BI tools.
- Improve reporting efficiency through automation and self-service analytics.
- Develop analytical models supporting price optimization, elasticity, customer segmentation, and revenue optimization.
- Perform statistical, scenario, and predictive analyses to evaluate the impact of pricing decisions on revenue and profitability.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service on pricing initiatives.
- Translate complex analysis into actionable recommendations and present findings to senior leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on pricing strategy and competitive intelligence.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and advanced analytics to improve pricing, forecasting, competitive intelligence, and reporting.
- Evaluate AI-enabled pricing and automation tools that improve analytical productivity.
- Ensure appropriate governance and validation of AI-generated insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Pricing Analytics, Commercial Analytics, Business Intelligence, Revenue Management, FP&A, or a related analytical role.
- Experience developing pricing strategies and analyses that support revenue growth and profitability.
- Experience with competitive pricing, market intelligence, customer purchasing behavior, and large transactional datasets.
- Experience developing executive dashboards, KPI reporting, and data-driven recommendations for senior leadership.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Finance.
- Experience in manufacturing, printing, distribution, retail, or eCommerce preferred.
- MBA or related master’s degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pricing strategy, profitability analysis, competitive intelligence, and commercial analytics.
- Advanced proficiency with Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and Business Intelligence/reporting tools.
- Experience with SQL, ERP/CRM systems, and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or Amazon Redshift.
- Ability to translate complex data and analytics into clear, actionable business recommendations.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership through data.
